About Postgraduate studies


The aim of postgraduate studies at SLU is to prepare students for careers in basic and applied research, teaching and administrative duties at universities, in the business world and in the public sector.

Courses

Courses at SLU:
PhD students admitted to SLU have free access to a range of courses: Subject courses and research training courses for training transferabel skills. Please search in in SLU's course database SLUkurs.

The number of course credits required in the exam is is regulated in the Guidelines for postgraduate studies for each faculty. Please check faculty homepages.

Nordic Courses:
NOVA University Network offers a number of PhD courses each year. Nordic postgraduate courses can also be found via NordForsk. Travel grants can be applied for for participation in NOVA courses or SLU courses!

Research Schools

Many PhD students are engaged in research schools. They offer a stimulating environment, with good opportunities for building networks.
