Per-Ola Hedwall

I received my doctoral degree in 2012. My thesis dealt with the effects of forest management and nitrogen deposition on the flora in Swedish forest. I am now a researcher and teacher in forest ecology at the Southern Swedish Forest Research Centre, SLU at Alnarp. My research concerns on how forest management and climate change affect biodiversity and the output of different ecosystem services from the forest. I have, among other things, used data from the Swedish National Forest Inventory to study how forest ecosystems change over time and to try to understand the reasons behind these changes.
