Uppsala is an attractive city with approximately 150,000 inhabitants that hosts two universities and several research institutes and is packed with history. For example, Uppsala used to be home to the famous biologist Carl von Linné and several sites can be visited in and around the city to experience his heritage. Uppsala is located only 35 km’s from Stockholm Arlanda airport, and is easily reached with airport busses, trains and taxi.
Find your way to the conference venue
The meeting venue is at Loftet at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Ultuna. SLU Ultuna is situated 7 km south of Uppsala city center.
Local public transportation in Uppsala
Bus: Bus lines 1, 12, 20 and 804 and 100 runs between Uppsala Central Station and SLU throughout the day, the buses are green or yellow. The bus stop closest to the venue is called Campus Ultuna. The conference have booked rooms for the Ecological Networks Conference in three hotels listed below. To be guaranteed the conference rate, please make your reservation by using the booking alternative presented under each hotel.
Radisson Blu Hotel, Uppsala is near the Central Train Station at the Uppsala Travel Center and it allows for easy access to nearby conference centers and historical attractions. The Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) is an 18-minute train ride from the hotel and Stockholm is only 40 minutes away.

Located in a former crafts guild building, the Park Inn by Radisson Uppsala is a hotel with history, combining its original architecture with modern amenities and convenience. The hotel, just 18 minutes from Stockholm-Arlanda Airport via high-speed train, is within walking distance of the city’s central train station.

The Best Western Hotel Svava located in the city centre, literally a stone's throw from Uppsala Central. Station, and is easy to get to, whether you travel by car, rail or plane and bus.

All ”single” rooms actually have two beds, each 80 cm wide; for two persons sharing such a room, you pay 200 SEK extra per night.

Registration is now open. To aim for a program where all attendants participate with a talk or poster, we have opted for a two-stage process of registration.
First stage - a notice of interest

Please make sure to submit both parts to be considered for the symposia. Once the final acceptance of abstracts is completed (31 May), you will be invited to update this notice of interest to a final conference registration.
Note that you can attend either the full conference (11 - 15 September), or one of its parts: the 3rd Symposium on Ecological Networks (11 - 13 September) or the 3rd Symposium on Molecular Analysis of Trophic Interactions (13 - 15 September).
The rates are as follows:
- Attendance during the first or last three days only: PhD students 1500 SEK, all others 2500 SEK
- Attendance during the full conference: PhD students 2500 SEK, all others 3500 SEK.
These fees include the program, a conference dinner (on Wednesday night), lunch during the days of attendance and refreshments during the poster sessions.
