SLU ”Excellent” in International Ranking
SLU is named “excellent” in the CHE Excellence Ranking, a European university ranking. SLU is noted to be especially strong on research and with an international profile.
130 universities in Europe, among them SLU, offer excellent research and international programmes for Masters and Postgrad students in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths. This makes them part of the "Excellence Group" in the CHE ranking of 2010. SLU belongs to the Excellence Group in Biology.
The Excellence groups are assembled from eight criteria, among them the number of publications and citations.
“Once again SLU is highly ranked in an international list, now as an excellent European university in Biology. This is most gratifying since research and education in Biology is the foundation of our activities”, says Lisa Sennerby Forsse, Vice-Chancellor of SLU.
CHE is an independent institution acting to reform the academic system. It is based in Germany.
