University in Uganda visiting SLU
Today on the 20 December a delegation from Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda visited SLU.

Makerere University is one of the African universities which SLU has extensive research cooperation with. Professor John Ddumba Ssentamu, one of the four representatives visiting, is the new Vice Chancellor of Makerere University since August 2012. The delegation was also accompanied by Claes Kjellström from Sida.
During their visit at SLU they met with, among other representatives for SLU, the Vice Chancellor Lisa Sennerby Forsse, Professor Arvid Uggla, director of Agricultural Sciences for Global Development, SLU Global and three researchers, Professor Ulf Magnusson, Senior Lecturer Ewa Wredle and Professor Christina Dixelius who all have a long term involvement in research together with Makerere University. The meeting was an opportunity to discuss how to and take the collaboration between the two universities further.
