Strategies, evaluations and reports
Here, we present SLU's strategy and some major evaluations and reports.
SLU's new strategy is valid from January 1, 2017.
Until then, the strategy Future challenges is valid, see below.
Future challenges, SLU's strategy 2013-2016
SLU's strategy Future challenges is valid from 2013 to the end of 2016. During this period SLU will focus on the priority areas A bio-based economy and Environment, health and life quality.
SLU is expected to contribute to the solutions of several of the global challenges, e.g. urbanisation, food secutity, zoonoses and climate change, mainly within these two priority areas:
- A bio-based economy.
- Environment, health and life quality.
Quality and impact, KoN 09
In 2008 SLU's Board decided that the University should carry out a comprehensive evaluation of its research and environmental monitoring and assessment.
The evalution, Quality and Impact (KoN 09), covered two main aspects, assessment of scientific quality by peer review, and assessment of the utility for society and the green sectors as preceived by the stakeholders (industry, public authorities, organisations, etc.).
SLU’s special strength is its combination of solid curiosity-driven research and
well-developed operations relating to the need for knowledge, competence
supply and innovations in the fields of agriculture and forestry,
animal husbandry, animal health, aquaculture, fisheries, landscape
architecture, rural development, etc.
