Visit from Ethiopian Institute for Water Resource and Addis Ababa University

During this week SLU is hosting a visit from Addis Ababa University and the new Ethiopian Institute for Water Resources, EIWR.  Three researchers, Dr. Solomon Gebreyohannis (an SLU alumn) and Ass. Prof. Woldeamlak Bewket, as well as the director of EIWR, Dr. Tena Alamirew, are visiting Prof. Kevin Bishop at the Department of Aquatic Sciences and Assessment. This is part of the cooperation in one of the UD40 projects,  ‘Soil and water management in agricultural production – participatory management of natural resources for intensified production’ (Project 5, Sub-project 1).

UD40 at SLU comprises eleven research projects that are supported by a contribution of 40 million SEK to SLU from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (UD), within the framework of the Government's special investments in food security 2010.
