Measurement, reporting and verification (MRV)
A core part of REDD+ is to monitor and report the actual reductions of carbon dioxide emissions within a REDD+ country. This is a substantial challenge that requires cost-efficient sampling and inventory techniques, often based on combinations of remote sensing and field survey.
