Robust computer model for load calculations
The "Fyris" model is a calculation model capable of mapping transport and source distribution of nitrogen and phosphorus from a catchment to the sea.
It is now so user-friendly, flexible and quick that SLU researchers have decided that it is ready to be released to other users.
"We have compiled a manual and technical description for the model and would now like to see its wider use as a tool in society. SLU will be offering training courses for whose wishing to learn how best to use the model. At SLU we will use it in research, teaching and in environmental monitoring and assessment," says Mats Wallin, in charge of developing the model.
