Species are an important part of biodiversity
In Sweden there are as many as 60 000 wild species. Some of the groups are well known, others are quite well known but for the majority of species there is a great need for more information. The Swedish Species Information Centre works long-term to collect, evaluate and make information available about Swedish species.

What is the species called and how are they related to one another?
In our database of species names and systematics, Dyntaxa, the Swedish and scientific names of different species can be found and how they are related to one another.
Where can the species be found?
The Species Gateway is the largest and most comprehensive system for reporting species in Sweden. You are welcome to report or make use of the data!
