Sightings of species
The Species Gateway is the principle reporting system used to find information about where and when sightings of specific species were made and is by far the largest system in Sweden.
For environmental monitoring of protected trees the Tree Gateway is used.
For environmental monitoring of protected molluscs the Clam Gateway is used.
Information about Red-Listed species
For red-listed species in Sweden it is possible to search for information about the characteristics, status, distribution, ecology, threats and actions. Information can be found in the species data sheets through the search engine Artfakta.
Name and family
How species are related to one another and how they are named is a science in itself. The Swedish Species Information Centre has developed the Swedish taxonomic database, Dyntaxa, which keeps track of all this information. Here it is possible to search by name, synonym and family.
