Five Scenarios for 2050
– Conditions for Agriculture and Land Use
The report presents the five scenarios used as a basis for identifying future challenges for food production and land use and to identify what knowledge and research will be needed to address these challanges. The report also presents the methology, building blocks and factors used in the scenario work.

Future Agriculture has developed a strategic research program that presents six overarching challenges of sustainable food production in a forty-year perspective. The aim is to encourage multi-and interdisciplinary research that involves scientists from different disciplines and representatives from various stakeholders. It is hoped that agricultural research can be strengthened by new collaborations and joint applications for research projects are carried out.
