Sustainability in future food production systems - Can biotechnology make a difference?

Agriculture is facing the challenge of significantly increasing the production to ensure a sufficient food supply, in a sustainable way. Biotechnology has mainly been used to increase agricultural productivity, and is suggested as a tool to reduce negative environmental effects of food production.

The aim of this workshop is to bring scholars from different disciplines together to discuss what role biotechnology can play in enhancing sustainable agriculture and food production systems.
