Research & Assignment

The EIA Centre initiates and conducts research in areas like Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), Cumulative Impact Assessment, eco-tourism and the agrarian landscape. We also do research concerning the integration of environmental perspectives in different planning contexts. We thus focus learning processes and processes for change and also what role that different “tools”, e.g. EIA and SEA, can play in promoting change. A closer description of our research and development projects can be found in the link to the left.

For more information concerning our research activities please contact associate professor Tuija Hilding-Rydevik.

The EIA Centre conduct a number of evaluation and development studies. These studies are initiated by the Centre or by authorities and agencies like for instance The National Environmental Protection Agency or The Swedish Transport Administration. In some large projects the EIA Centre reviews EIA and other processes. The Centre does not, however, conduct EIAs or SEAs as such.

If you are interested in discussing/ordering assignments with/from us please contact director Anders Hedlund.
