Welcome to Sida's Helpdesk for Environment and Climate Change

Welcome to Sida's Helpdesk for Environment and Climate Change

In 2011, a consortium was created between the Swedish University of Agriculture Sciences (SLU) and Gothenburg Centre for Environment and Sustainability (GMV) to provide Sida – the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency - with services on Environment and Climate Change in Swedish Development Cooperation.

The support function is named Sida’s Helpdesk for Environment and Climate Change and is commissioned by Sida. At SLU, the Helpdesk is managed from the Department of Urban and Rural Development.

About the Helpdesk

The Helpdesk consists of a Core Team of experts at SLU and GMV including one Team Leader (Anders Ekbom, GMV) and one Quality Manager (Eva Stephansson; SLU). The Core Team represents a broad range of experience and competence with a deep understanding of Sida’s needs and expectations in this field. This is based on long individual as well as broad collective experience in providing expert advice to Sida on environmental mainstreaming.

In collaboration with sub-consultants (Orgut and IVL), and a broad resource pool of expertise, the Helpdesk supports Sida staff on demand, provides advice and strategic guidance on environment and climate change integration at policy, program and project level and supports capacity building and dialogue on environmental issues.
