A national infrastructure for biodiversity data

Seminars workshops

Join us in shaping the future analysis tools for biodiversity research!

Swedish LifeWatch is a collaboration between universities, public authorities and natural history museums in Sweden, with the aim to establish a national e-infrastructure for the integration and analysis of biodiversity data.

Using agreed standards and a common taxonomy, Swedish LifeWatch will integrate data on biodiversity and explanatory variables from many different distributed databases in a single portal, open to everyone, from researchers to policy makers to citizen scientists. The infrastructure will also provide tools for advanced analysis, modelling and visualisation.

  • Would you like to know more about the Swedish LifeWatch project?
  • Are you working with research within biodiversity, ecology or taxonomy?
  • Are you handeling large or complex datasets in your research?
  • What data and analysis functions would you facilitate your research?

The afternoon will begin with a presentation of Swedish LifeWatch and continue with a workshop to discuss needs for data and analysis tools. What data and functions would you like access in the Analysis Portal? Welcome to contribute with ideas and suggestions!
