Jannicke Moe

Dr. Jannicke Moe is a research scientist at the Norwegian Institute of Water Research (NIVA), Section for Climate and Environmental Modelling. Jannicke Moe has background in population ecology with combined experimental and modelling approaches, from University of Oslo and the National Centre for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis (USA).
Her current research focuses on statistical modelling and analysis of ecological responses to environmental stressors such as eutrophication, acidification and pollutants, often in connection with the European Water Framework Directive. She also works on management of ecological databases. She is the data manager for freshwater biological data reported to the European Environment Agency from 23 countries under the Water Information System for Europe. She is also responsible for data management in the EU project WISER (biological and environmental data from rivers, lakes and coastal waters).
Jannicke Moe is member of the steering committee of the newly established Life Watch Norway, and has recently conducted a survey on needs for access to biodiversity data in Norway.
