Computer access
The IT-Office is the main provider of Internet access and e-mail account. A registration number from the computerized system (P-nummer) is a requirement to get an e-mail address. They will also assist you if you would like to have an Internet access in your room.  

Telephone
There are no telephones in the student rooms or corridors. If you do not have a mobile (cell) phone, you can call from the telephone company Telia. You can also buy a telecard of varying values. Mobile (cell) phone refill/prepaid cards (kontantkort) can be obtained at different mobile shops.

If you want a telephone of your own you have to contact the telephone company. Telephones are installed by the Telecommunications Administration (Telia). The basic fee for having a telephone installed is approx SEK 1025, excluding the price for the telephone itself. There is no installation fee if you are no older than 26 years of age and ask for a youth subscription (ungdoms¬abonnemang). However, a deposit of SEK 5,000 will be requested. This will be refunded when you leave Sweden. The subscription rate is at present SEK 125 per quarter. For further information please contact: Telia, Phone: 90 200.

A number of new telephone companies have recently been established and the telephone market is constantly changing. Use of mobile phones are recommended. The telephone country code for Sweden is 46. For international calls from Sweden, dial 00 and the country code.
