The course package is open for independent participants.
This course package deals with sustainability and environmental planning issues to a large extent. It includes a combination of practical project work (problem solving), theoretical studies, independent work and group work. The first course, Explorations into landscape architecture, is a course specially designed to discuss what landscape architecture and planning is all about, in particular when it comes to the students' own backgrounds and professional aims. The second course Planning project - large scale structures, analysis and EIA, deals with problemsolving in the large scale landscape, using landscape analysis. The follwing course, Landscape in transition - impacts of and adaptation to climate change, deals specifically with how we can deal with changes in landscape when it comes to future climate effects such as f x raised water levels. The fourth and last course, Planning project - Energy landscapes and master planning, deals with planning for infrastructural development and energy issues in the landscape, f x wind power, connected to sustainable development.

For the last course in the course package (Planning project - energy landscapes and master planning) pre-knowledge in GIS is preferable. A self study course is offered by the responsible department.
