‘’I came to SLU because Sweden seemed like a really nice place.  The programmes and courses offered by SLU allowed me to broaden my understanding of plants.  While this is related to my degree, it is something completely new to me.

Living in Sweden as an international student is awesome!  There are so many nice people here.  Everyone speaks English, and people seem to really like my British accent.  Student life is very fun and social.  We work hard and we play hard.  I am very glad to be here.

So far, the highlight for me has been the Nordic Games that were held here at SLU.  It was like a mini-Olympics between students from Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.  It was brilliant!

Coming to SLU was definitely a change of pace for me.  My home university has over 40 000 students, and SLU has around 4 000.  I actually really like having smaller classes.  It gives students much better contact with the teachers, and we get a lot of support.

I definitely recommend going on exchange.  It is a once-in-a-lifetime chance, so take it if you can!  Hopefully I’ll be able to come back to SLU and do my Master’s here.’’
