''I chose to study at SLU because in the Czech Republic, where I come from, Sweden has the best reputation when it comes to universities and the quality of education. It was also really exotic for me to come to one of the most developed countries in the world!
I love living in Sweden because of the people. Though they can appear quite closed at first, Swedish people are actually super nice and friendly. Everyone is eager to help, which has made me feel very welcome and at home. Swedish people have lots of funny habbits, and they always seem so relaxed!
My best experience so far has been travelling through Sweden and Norway. I have also really enjoyed living on my own, having the freedom to do what I like, and being more independent. When it comes to school, I don't feel like I have to worry here because everything is so well set up.
One of the biggest differences between SLU and my home university is the structure of the school system. At home, we take five courses per semester whereas at SLU, we take only two. This allows us to go into more detail and acquire a deeper understanding of each subject. The study environment is also much better here. Students go to school to learn, and I feel like I can really focus on my schoolwork and be supported and inspired by the motivated people around me.
I would definitely recommend studying at SLU as an international student, and in fact, I already have! One of my classmates from the Czech Republic is coming next semester!''
