EnvEuro, 120 credits

A long history of intensive use and misuse of natural resources has forced Europeans to deal with environmental problems. European countries are therefore now leading in environmental research and its use in management, legislation and technology. EU is a principle actor in all these questions and an important platform for building of knowledge and enforcement of policies. The EnvEuro programme is a co-operation between four European universities. The Master is focused on soil, water and biodiversity and the aim is to give students European and international perspectives on research as well as planning and management in the environmental sector.

This programme is given in as part of the Euroleague for Life Sciences (ELLS) network, a cooperation of leading universities in the fields of Natural Resource Management, Agricultural and Forestry Sciences, Life Sciences, Veterinary Sciences, Food Sciences, and Environmental Sciences.

Graduated EnvEuro students with other universities than SLU as home university are now working as PhD students or with environmental science issues in the governmental and private sector or as teachers, both in their home country and abroad. Thanks to studies at two universities you will have great opportunities to build net-works that will help you in your future career and in development of understanding within several aspects of environmental science. This is the second year you can start EnvEuro studies at SLU so there are no information on the future of students with SLU as home university. In the other EnvEuro universities, the master programme started 2007 and the number of students have increased each year since then.

Equivalent to Bachelor´s degree, with specialisation in a natural science subject, such as Biology, Agricultural Science, Forest Science, Soil Science, Environmental Science or other.

Knowledge equivalent to English B from upper secondary school.
