Arrival Information
Getting to Alnarp
By Car:
Leave the E6 Motorway at Lomma Junction.
If you are coming from Lund, leave the E22 Motorway at the Kronetorp/Alnarp Junction.
If you are coming from Malmö or Copenhagen, leave the E4/E6/E22 Motorway at the Helenelund Junction. You will need to go past Burlövs Egnahem, and then past the Burlöv Center Shopping Center (which has a large Coop Forum sign). Turn into the E20 Motorway heading towards Landskrona/Helsingborg. Leave the E20 Motorway at the Åkarp Junction, and then turn left at the stop sign.
By Train:
Åkarp is the closest train station to Alnarp. It is on the Malmö - Lund line. The train station is within walking distance to Alnarp (approximately 2km away).

Getting to Umeå
By Plane:
Stockholm-Arlanda International Airport is situated 42 km north of Stockholm. From here, you can take a domestic flight to Umeå (from Terminal 4). It takes 55 minutes to fly from Arlanda to Umeå Airport. If you are stopping over at Arlanda on your way to Umeå, remember to collect your baggage in Stockholm and check it in again at the domestic terminal. Please note that Malmö Aviation operates from a different airport in Stockholm called Bromma Airport.
By Train:
You can catch a train to Umeå from Stockholm Central Station or from Stockholm-Arlanda International Airport. For more information, including train timetables, visit www.sj.se.
By Bus:
You can catch a bus to Umeå from Stockholm City Terminal or from Stockholm-Arlanda International Airport with a bus company called Y-Bus. For more information, including bus timetables, visit www.ybus.se.
By Car:
The distance between Stockholm and Umeå is 650 km.
To find Umeå's SLU campus, follow the signs marked University or Hospital. After you have reached the campus area, you will find the SLU building next to the IKSU Athletic Center, beside the forest.
Getting to Uppsala
By Plane:
Uppsala is 30 – 40 minutes away from Stockholm. The closest airport is Stockholm-Arlanda International Airport, which is located just 31 km from Uppsala. There are three other international airports located in and around Stockholm, for example Skavsta Airport, which is 95 km from Stockholm, and Vesterås Airport, which is 100 km from Stockholm.
By Train:
Trains travel between Arlanda and Uppsala Central Station regularly, and take 15 – 20 minutes. You can catch a train to Uppsala from Sky City, which is located between Terminal 4 – Terminal 5. Tickets cost 120 SEK and can be purchased from SJ’s Travel Office at Sky City. You can also buy tickets onboard, but this will be more expensive.
Trains from Stockholm Central Station to Uppsala Central Station leave very regularly, and take 40 minutes. Tickets cost approximately 80 SEK, and can be purchased from ticket machines at the train station or from SJ’s Travel Office. You can also buy tickets onboard, but this will be more expensive.
Trains from Vesterås Central Station to Uppsala Central Station leave every hour. A direct train will take approximately one hour, or one hour and thirty minutes if there are stops along the way. Tickets cost between 100 – 120 SEK.

By Bus:
Buses travelling from Arlanda to Uppsala leave every 30 minutes. It takes approximately 45 minutes and costs 90 SEK. Tickets can be purchased from the bus driver.
Airport shuttle busses travelling from Skavsta Airport to Stockholm Central Station leave 30 minutes after each Ryan Air flight arrival. It takes approximately 80 minutes and costs 99 SEK for a single ticket, and 198 SEK for a return. Tickets can be purchased from a ticket desk inside the airport. You can bus number 804 from Versterås Central Station to Uppsala Central Station. Tickets cost between 30 – 60 SEK and travel time is approximately 90 minutes. Buses leave every half hour on weekdays, and every hour on weekends.
By Car:
You can catch a taxi from Arlanda to Uppsala for approximately 500 SEK. You can ask the driver for a fixed price in advance and pay with cash or credit card. Taxis can always be found outside the arrivals hall, and travel time is around 30 minutes.
You can catch a taxi from Versterås Airport to Vesterås Central Station for approximately 50 SEK. Travel time is around 15 minutes, and taxis can be found outside the arrivals hall.
