Things to See and Do

Sweden is a picturesque country, and an exciting place to be a tourist.  Not only does the landscape change dramatically from north to south, each season offers something new.  Make the most of the cold winter months by taking up a winter activity, like downhill or cross-country skiing, snowboarding or ice-skating.  During the warmer months swim on one of Sweden’s 100 000 lakes, and sail around the breathtakingly beautiful archipelago.

When visiting Stockholm, make sure to take a walk through Gamla Stan, which literally means ‘The Old Town’.  Here you can see the Royal Castle, squeeze down Stockholm’s narrowest street, eat at one of the many restaurants and shop in one of the charming boutiques.

Take the train up north and stay a night in Sweden’s famous ice hotel, and if you are lucky you may catch sight of the spectacular northern lights.  In southern Sweden you will find Öresundsbron, an 8km long bridge connecting Sweden to Denmark.
