PhD courses

As part of their PhD, candidates will produce a thesis and take courses that fall under their subject area.  These courses help the candidate to develop their knowledge and skills on a particular subject. 

Furthermore, candidates will develop transferrable skills in areas such as padagogy and leadership.  Candidates will also study the philosophy of science and research ethics in order to assist them in their future profession as scientists. 

Many PhD students enroll in basic courses to develop and train their general skills.
