Call for applications for research on biological control

Published: 16 December 2016

CBC sets aside in total SEK 420,000 to support three to four research projects on biological control at SLU. The projects can either be scientific literature reviews or aim to test new ideas in a pilot project.

All SLU researchers are invited to propose research on biological control within these project categories. Some project ideas are then selected to be discussed in more detail together with CBC. Proposals within all areas of biological control are welcome (see CBC's web site for definitions). CBC can either have an advisory or a more active role in the projects. We encourage applications also within less common applications and methods of biological control and encourage new research collaborations.

Decisions about funding will be made by CBC during February 2017. Funded projects are expected to be able to start during spring 2017. All projects shall submit a final report by May 2018 and shall then also provide a popular science description to be published on the CBC website.
