Ekhaga becomes Lövsta Field Research Station

Published: 11 October 2017

In order to strengthen applied agricultural research opportunities and to increase coordination at the Faculty of Natural Resources and Agricultural Sciences (NJ) at SLU in Uppsala, a new unit has been created: Lövsta Field Research Station.

The operations run at Ekhaga Field Station outside Uppsala by the Department of Soil and Environment and the Department of Crop Production Ecology will be merged to create the new unit Lövsta Field Research Station.

Both departments will actively take part of the new organisation management. Operations will be administered at the Department of Crop Production Ecology, and a station manager will lead all operational aspects.

In 2016, the NJ Faculty decided to award funds to Lövsta Field Research Station in order for the station to receive adequate equipment and to enable it to take on new tasks.
