Horse treadmill up and running

Published: 03 February 2017

Since the move to the Centre for Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, the horse treadmill has remained unmounted, but is now installed and ready to be used again.

The treadmill can be used in research, for example to measure the physiological effects of stress or for biomechanical studies. It can also be used in clinical studies and for teaching.

Mick the horse had the honour of making the maiden voyage when he, together with our researchers Anna Jansson and Sara Ringmark showed some Master's students how to perform a test to measure the fitness of a horse.
