Welcome to Landscape Architecture

The subject area of landscape architecture is interdisciplinary, and contributes to the knowledge base of sustainable landscapes, cities and societies. Teaching and research themes include spatial planning, landscape and garden design, and cultural heritage. There is a staff about 40-45 people, most of whom are involved in both teaching and research.

Courses are offered within the programmes for Landscape Architecture, Landscape Engineering, Gardening Engineering, Urban Landscape Dynamics and Sustainable Cities. Several Master’s courses are also offered independently of programme studies.

Research and Development activities cover a wide range of subject areas and forms, from large-scale national and international projects to more limited research efforts in cooperation with public authorities and consultancy companies.
