Research projects

I have a broad research interest in the borderline between plant ecology, evolution and genetics. My main focus has been on male and female selective forces during the prezygotic phase of the plant life cycle, i.e. during pollen competition in the pistil, mostly in wild species. Recently, I have started working more with crop species and I am currently involved in a project exploring evolutionary ecology of stress responses in cultivated potatoes and its wild relatives Solanum dulcamara and Solanum nigrum.

Other ongoing projects:

  • Development of odor-based strategies for control of seed-eating weevils in clover seed production
More information about the projekt at SLU and at Lund University

  • Sexual conflicts, antagonistic coevolution and mating-system evolution in plants, using the study species Collinsia heterophylla.

  • Floral traits and variability in seed set in red clover.

  • Pollen competitive ability in cultivated and feral rapeseed (Brassica napus): implications for gene flow and risk assessment of GM crops.
