welcome to the Soil-Water-Environment cluster
The cluster consists of three departments with activities related to soil, water and the environment: Department of Soil and Environment, Department of Aquatic Sciences and Assessment, and Department of Energy and Technology.
We are working on issues related to how we use our natural resources land, water and living organisms. It is crucial for the future of the world. With our activities, we create a scientific basis for the sustainable use of natural resources in the future will give us food on the table, fresh water to drink, bioenergy, timber, and nature to enjoy. We monitor the environmental status of the land, lakes and streams. We also try to sort out what is natural variation and what is changes that man himself is behind. With this base, we develop strategies for sustainable development in agriculture and forestry.
In 2011, we have moved to new premises and we have begun work to find forms of cooperation to strengthen our research, teaching, environmental monitoring and information.
