About the Institution
About 35 people are employed at the department where research is conducted in crop and animal science. Both basic and applied and is conducted in laboratories, fields, and research barn.
Undergraduate education is offered mainly as distance courses. Postgraduate education is offered in crop and animal science.
The Forage Research Centre – a platform for cooperation with the whole research area of soil-crop-animal interaction has been developed. Research is conducted in close contact with practise.
The scientific width enables a holistic approach. The whole chain of production of high quality forage, utilisation and metabolism in the ruminant and effects on milk and meat is considered.
