My research area is the interaction between the endophytic fungi Neotyphodium and grass. I will study the effect the fungi have on Meadow fescue (Festuca pratensis), which is one of the most common forage grasses in Sweden, to see if the presence of the fungi offers an advantage or disadvantage compared to not infected grass. Initially the research focus will be set on grass seeds and seedlings in order to examine the early development of the fungi.
