My project is to evaluate factors influencing methane production in ruminants, by modeling methane production and validate the models predicting methane production in dairy cows, with specific emphasis on diets fed in Northern latitudes. A further study will be conducted using modeling approaches on the influences of specialized vs. integrated based cattle production systems on total methane production.
