Post graduate education is given within the subject areas environmental science, soil science and ecology. There are between 10 and 15 Ph.D. students at the department, of which 2-3 graduates per year.
All Ph.D. student positions are announced centrally at SLU.
The department is annually giving a popular course in Multivariate methods, attracting student from all Nordic countries.
The department is also involved in the research school "Focus on soils and waters".
