Work market event 2012
On February 1, the yearly work market event for our students was held at the initiative of Hans Andersson. There was a considerable interest among our students and over 50 persons were present.
Participants were treated to a handful of fruitful presentations by former students with graduation year from 2006 and onwards: Sarah Säll (PhD student, Department of Economics, SLU), Camilla Bergschöld (CEO, Hästa Gård), Madeleine Jönsson (Consultant, FAO, and Respect), Andreas Scheibenflug (project manager, SLU Holding) and Andreas Flensén (credit analyst, Nordea).
All presenters shared their study - and work experiences in a personal and interesting way and moreover gave good advice to the students. Among other things, the audience were told by the presenters that the path to work life after graduation is not necessarily straightforward which in turn could mean a lot of good lessons along the way before you land in the right place; how it is possible to combine exciting part-time jobs within two organizations (in different countries!) and that good networks still are of great importance in regard of both finding a job and also later in working life.
Several students have expressed thier appreciation of the arrangement, which of course bodes well for future social events like this one!
