Food in Focus, Research School at SLU
The background to the graduate school Food in Focus was the need for a connecting platform for all PhD students within Food Science at SLU, irrespective of background.
Food in Focus at SLU is a complement to the national graduate school in Sweden within Food Science: LiFT (Future Technologies for Food Production). LiFT is primarily for Swedish PhD students as most courses are held in Swedish with focus on Swedish food industry. Consequently, there was a need for a research school that also suits international students with a future outside Sweden.
Food in Focus is managed primarily by the Department of Food Science at SLU, Uppsala.
