Population genomics of Serpula lacrymans
Genome wide analysis on the population level to reveal areas of the genome that have been the target for intensive recent selection will be made with a population genomics approach. The expectation is that such areas include genes that are interesting from a wood degradation perspective since S. lacrymans is an effective wood decayer. Due to little genetic variation in the European population, this analysis will be mainly based on Asian isolates of S. lacrymans. In addition to selection, linkage disequilibrium will be studied as well as questions regarding population structure.
