Comparative genomics of four strains of Serratia sp.
Four strains of Serratia sp. isolated from rape seed and Equisetum sp were found to have significant plant growth promoting effects on rapeseed and antagonistic effects on plant pathogens under field and greenhouse conditions. These effects are studied from by means of genomics and transcriptomics in collaboration with the Joint Genome Institute, USA. We use linear RNA amplification from interactions of the bacteria and plant pathogens. The transcriptome will be mapped on the genomes of the bacteria.
