Department of Molecular Biology
The aim of our research is to understand how biomolecules function at the fundamental level. Our research has relevance for environment, agriculture and medicine and has industrial applications. Structural biology, molecular biology and biochemical techniques are central tools in our work as is bioinformatics.
The department with it's distinct international character is a member of the SLU BioCenter and is located to the Biomedical Center (BMC) in Uppsala.
