Precision agriculture and pedometrics
Research is concentrated on identifying and describing the variability in soil properties, organic inputs and crop demands within and between fields and cropping systems. Plant and soil sensors for in-field analyses and spatial modelling are important tools. Strategies and methods for their use are developed, for example systems with multiple sensors and for three dimensional mapping. The development of a sustainable and profitable production of high quality crops on agricultural land is the overall mission.
