Soil and water management
We focus on soil physical properties and processes, mainly material and energy flows, and how the soil reacts when impacted by forces.
We conduct basic and applied research on how actions such as tillage, drainage, irrigation and soil improvement affect soil properties. Research strategies are developed in order to create farming and tillage systems that allow economic plant production and sustain and improve soil and water resources.
