The Swedish Centre for Nature Interpretation  aims to support the growing number of nature interpreters in Sweden. Nature interpretation implies communication, information and other pedagogical activities that facilitate people´s experience of nature. This includes developing feeling for and knowledge of nature. The purpose is to increase the understanding of the connections between ecology and culture as well as the role of humans in nature as a tool for management and sustainable use of nature.   

SCNI offers courses and seminars, distributes a newsletter and collects knowledge and experiences within the field of nature interpretation.
