WURC
The Wood Ultrastructure Research Centre (WURC) is a competence centre which was initiated in 1996 by NUTEK (Swedish National Board for Technical and Industrial Development) and established in cooperation with VINNOVA, SLU, eight companies from the Swedish pulp and paper industry (Stora Enso, SCA, Korsnäs, M-real, Smurfit Kappa, Sveaskog, Södra Cell, Holmen) and one chemical company (Eka Chemicals). NUTEK was replaced by VINNOVA (The Swedish Agency for Innovation Systems) January 2001.
