Quality Policy

Field and laboratory testing and method development corresponding to National and International demands of quality. The goal of the quality system for the laboratory is to ensure that tests are carried out swiftly and accurately in a relevant way in accordance to the agreed conditions, stipulated in the International Standard SS-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005. The quality policy applies to wood protection and the testing facilities at the Department of Forest Products, Swedish University of Agriculture, Uppsala, Sweden. The Deputy Prefect and the designated Head of Quality at the Department oversee, and are responsible for that all commissions are carried out in accordance to the requirements laid out in the standard to which the Department is accredited.

Laboratory personnel are trained in quality routines and follow the guidelines and documentation to ensure quality. The laboratory personnel have full access to all the documentation describing the system including all relevant methods and routines. The personnel's quality awareness is upheld by continual training.
