Education

The education at the department has it´s base in a sustainable economic forest in southern Sweden. Much focus is also put on comparative analysis of countries around the southern Baltic Sea region. When it comes to forestry there are many similarities in this region, several important aspects of forestry such as forest industries, markets, unique forest habitats and social concerns shared across national borders. Forestry is facing major changes and challenges, and as a natural step, the forestry education have to follow in those footsteps. The education in Alnarp is characterized by an international environment, where students from all over the world meet and share knowledge and discuss differences in forestry and also cultural differences. Students are prepared to work in an international environment and have a broad perspective on various issues both forestry and also on the more social aspects of life.
