Norrbyn

Umeå Marine Sciences Centre field station (UMSC) is situated in Norrbyn, 40 kilometers south of Umeå. UMSC supports marine research at Umeå University, but is also open for other universities. UMSC provides many resources as e.g. laboratories, research vessels and analytical instruments. A very modern modern mesocosm facilitity can also be found here.
In Norrbyn SLU also have experimental facilities as fish tanks, aquariums, pit-tag equipments etc. Brackish water can be used at six different temperatures.
