I have a quite broad background in biology and ecology with a focus on plant biology, ecology and plant-herbivore interactions. I enjoy the possibility I now have been given to proceed in the borderline between molecular biology and ecology.

Research project
Molecular studies of ecology, population dynamics and behavioral ecology of moose (Alces alces).

My initial task working within the MERG research group will be to use high throughput sequencing (NGS) to develop molecular markers (i.e. SNP´s), which will be used to answer a number of questions regarding the history of and the present state of the Swedish moose population. My goal is to make a contribution to a sustainable management of ungulate populations.
