Education
The department conducts bachelor's and master's education primarily within SLU’s Master of forestry program. The Department also provides contract education to external customers and participates in international co-operation with other universities. The course selection in the Forester program consists of over 40 ects credits at the undergraduate level and 80 ECTS credits at the master´s level.
The courses are given within seven subjects: Remote sensing and Geographical Information Technology, (GIT), Forest inventory, Forest planning, Forest technology, Wood supply, Organization and leadership and Environmetal Monitoring and Assessment. The development of the department’s education is led by subject area coordinators.
