Forest Planning and Operations Management

The field of activities comprise of research, development and education in forest planning and technology. The section is responsible for the Heureka unit that develops software for forest management planning and analysis. It is also responsible for the research school FIRST that in collaboaration with the forestry sector performs research in forest technology. In addition, the section is responsible for a package of graduate courses in the forestry education programme focussing on the supply chain. The section is part of several international projects.
